What we do

The charity takes a holistic approach to its work.  We turn policies and strategies into local actions that benefit victims of domestic violence and burglary and people vulnerable to those crimes.

Safe Partnership is the national charity that helps the elderly and vulnerable in need, particularly elderly and vulnerable victims of domestic violence and dwelling burglary and those living in the vicinity of such victims.


Recent and current operations 

Recent and current schemes include:

  • Locks for Pensioners
    (2000-2004)(proactive target hardening of pensioners on benefits living in high crime areas); Safe Partnership was the largest single contractor under Locks for Pensioners, operating alone or through partners in 53 of the 54 areas in England and Wales.
  • Safe Manchester
    Domestic violence sanctuary scheme.  Reactive and Proactive target hardening scheme covering dwelling burglary and distraction burglary.  Managed from our headquarters.
  • Safe Cheshire
    Domestic violence sanctuary scheme (working with the Cheshire Domestic Abuse Partnership).  Essential Security and Small Repairs Services across Cheshire covering distraction burglary and dwelling burglary.
  • SafeHome Newcastle NDC 
    Reactive and proactive scheme in Newcastle NDC area to secure the homes of victims and those vulnerable to burglary.
  • SafeCommunity Buildings Newcastle NDC
    Reactive and proactive scheme in Newcastle NDC area to secure non-domestic and non-commercial buildings and areas that offer a not for profit service to residents living in the NDC area.
  • SafeHandyperson Newcastle NDC
    Home maintenance scheme in Newcastle NDC area to provide safety and maintenance tasks.
  • Northern Ireland
    Domestic violence sanctuary scheme and Target Hardening in Craigavon and Lisburn local authority areas.
  • London Borough of Havering
    Domestic violence sanctuary scheme and Target Hardening.
  • Dorset
    We install domestic violence sanctuaries and have a burglary Target Hardening scheme in Dorset.
